What is the best way to ship a violin?

I am planning on selling my violin on ebay. I am not gonna sell it to someone out of the US, so I don’t need international shipping. I want to know the best way to ship it to where ever I need to when it gets sold. The violin is still in the case that I carted it around it when I was in high school. Insurance information would be helpful too.
