What is a good digital recording for a musician on a budget?

Cheapest way to go is with a USB Audio Interface that comes with recording software.
These interfaces will give you usually 2 inputs (mic / guitar) and comes with some good recording software (cubase, tracktion, pro tools).
Plug your mic / guitar into the interface, it converts it into digital and sends through the USB Cable to your computer and into the software.
