Hi, I started playing piano 4 years ago but I have a problem with my right hand fingers.
when I play fast say a black note and white key with my index and middle finger(Gb and G) the lower part of both my middle finger and ring finger automatically get tight close together and i don’t know if it’s right sometimes both fingers feel cold even though my hand is really warm… when I play a different slow tempo piece my 3rd &4th fingers are still together and my pinky sort of moves up very straight…

what should i do and is this a problem…

Terra asked:

everytime i practice i feel like im always tense, i relax my shoulders (or try) i keep my elbows above keyoard, curl my fingers like im holding a ball trying to rest the tips on the keyboard, back straight, feet flat, sitting in the front half of the bench, forearms about parallel to the ground, fingernails cut, move my top part of my body when i reach the high right or left.

Yet even with all these!!!! i end up tense after playing, like i don’t feel like i exercised!! i don’t feel good at all!!! What is the problem?!!!

I was playing really hard on my steinway and all of a sudden… bam! I think I broke a string. Yes, I was pounding away to la cucaracha. How do I fix it? Is there some wire I can use to replace the string that the hammer hits? Thanks a bunch as this is important so I can continue serenading mi madre.
